THE FILM
The film is directed by director Marco Schiavon and produced by the Portuguese Ethno.
Àgua Nas Guelras is the story of a German boy who at the age of 12 saw his world turn upside down when his family decided to move from a large German city to Faial, a small island in the Azores archipelago. By building a relationship with the sea, he has found adaptation to this new life. And from the beginning he sensed that he would find so much more. In a magical but difficult land, where people, and especially young people, tend to emigrate, Franz has found a home. He found that feeling of belonging, of root, which represents this word in its deepest meaning. A feeling of completeness, which is born and knows how to find everything he needs to exist in a simple lifestyle, just as simple are often the truest things.
THE ORIGINAL MUSIC
Àgua Nas Guelras brings the original music from the composer Joe Schievano.
One of the songs featured in the film is now also part of the composer’s album entitled You’re the movie, this is the music.
The title of the song is Agua Vnetosa.
SOUND DESIGN AND MIX
Soundrivemotion took care of this particular sound design, where the wind, the sea and sounds created around the theme of depth, were the co-stars of the work.
